Objectives

I-ARTIST mainly aims at undertaking multi-disciplinary research at various levels directed toward integrating Science and Spirituality for promoting holistic health, ethical values, social harmony, dietary management, life style management, ecology, environment, human rights, physics, chemistry, biology, cosmology geography and universal wellness etc. in short, to make life happy healthy and peaceful. The following are the main objectives:

  1. To promote study and dissemination of knowledge of spiritual principles, doctrines and practices in modern context. Organizing in-house seminars and inviting experts of national & international status will be a regular activity of the Institute.
  2. Scientific research on ancient principles of holistic health with the base of “Prevention is better than cure”, including meditation: To study and analyze the relevance of spiritual literature to modern science in the areas of physiological and biological sciences, medical sciences, cosmology, physical and natural sciences etc. These studies will be carried out through advanced techniques e.g. neurophysiology (electroencephalography- EEG, evoked potentials, magnetoencephalography-MEGetc), autonomic function studies, neuroimaging studies (functional magnetic resonance imaging-fMRI, positron imaging-PET, blood flow studies etc), hormonal studies and genetic studies
  3. Experimental Laboratory: In present era of experimental sciences, a high-quality experimental laboratory with sophisticated equipments will be available at the centre. Tests requiring higher expertise and equipment like fMRI and hormones and genetic analysis may be outsourced to other research institutes.
  4. Establishing and quantifying relationship between consciousness, psyche, mind and brain. This pioneering work will be studying how activities of brain influence mind and vice-versa and how psychosomatic disorders and diseases can be dealt through psychosomatic remedies.
  5. Establishing and quantifying relationship between brain and body: We will be studying role and influence of brain on various body systems e.g. heart and cardiovascular system, liver and gastrointestinal system, kidney and urogenital system, respiratory system and musculo-skeletal system etc., and develop capsule courses for better functioning. (This will be application of Spiritual Technology.)
  6. Beneficial effect of meditation and spiritual practices on promotion of holistic health and management of diseases e.g. Quality of life (QOL), school performance, work performance, stress level, sleep quality etc. Life style modification is an important issue and will be thrust area of the centre.
  7. Online training of meditation in holistic health (‘prevention and cure’): Online training of meditation will be scientifically researched with an aim to develop holistic module for different diseases.
  8. Online training in non-violence: To inculcate compassion, friendliness (maîtri), forgiveness, and promote altruism, mutualism, self-sacrifice etc in behaviour at all levels.
  9. Analyze the scientific contents of Ancient Agmic-texts.
  10. Integrate scientific community and research involved in this endeavor. To bring all Scholars and Scientists in India and abroad connected with spiritual advancement on one platform to fulfil the above objective.
  11. Training in Meditation: Imparting such training through short-term and long-term courses for different category of people various age-groups. Camps and classes of in Preksha meditation for individuals, corporate houses, social groups, NGOs, government departments (Police, Education, Jail etc.), teachers, students, professionals, businessmen, housewives for comprehensive health and Training of the trainers of meditation, researchers and technicians for handling of scientific instruments etc.
  12. Organization of camps, seminars and lectures etc. To diffuse the knowledge among its members, local community, scientists and scholars worldwide by way of Lectures, Conferences, Seminars, Workshops, Education Camps, publication of papers, periodicals, journals, books, monographs, circulars, website and other literary undertakings etc.
  13. Collaboration with other charitable trusts, prestigious and eminent Research Institutes and Universities for basic and applied research to have wider approach to have more people to participate in our activities.
  14. Human resources: Development of appropriate human resources of scientists interested in pursuing research related to spirituality. To develop a pool of teachers and students for scientific research by enhancing interactions through lectures, symposia and conferences. To create a chain of trainees for imparting online/offline training to people of different nations, and thus achieve the main objective of creating a peaceful world-order.
